Coast and Shorelines

The coasts and shorelines are the worlds fastest changing terrain. This is due to the constant change in sea level, waves, and tides. Coasts and shorelines are created by things like ice sheets. Or land moving up and down making sea levels raise. There are a few different kinds of coasts. Including downed coasts, and emergen coasts.

Rias Coast
There are two types of downed coasts rias and fjords. Both created as a result of global or regional sea levels raising. Fjords coasts are formed when the in sea level has drowned glacier- carved valleys. Tia coasts are created when a rising sea level drowneds an area of coastal river valleys. Thus creating a group of Estuaries. This is sometimes separated by a peninsula. Downed coasts have become more common, from a large rise in sea level over the course of the last 18,000 years. These coasts are found worldwide, but many Ria Coasts are found in NW Europe, E U.S. and parts of Australia. While most Fjord Coasts are most commonly found in Norway, Chile, Canada, and New Zealand.
Emergent Coasts were created during the last ice age. This happened when the land was being lifted faster than the sea level could rise. This is caused by one of two things. One is activity at a divided section of Earth's crust. The other is glacial rebound. These coasts are usually rocky, or have a smooth shore line. These coasts are usually found in Scandinavia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
