The Twilight Zone is also called the disphotic zone (meaning "poorly lit" in Greek) or the mesopelagic zone (meaning "middle sea")The Twilight Zone receives little amount of light, and only during the day hours. It goes down about 200 meters (600ft). The temperature is about 41 to 31 degrees F. There is intense pressure here, not as much as the Midnight Zone. Pressure here is 1,470 pounds of pressure.
The animals that live here, like the midnight zone use bioluminescence. And because they live in little light, cold water, and high pressure. The animals living here have adapted, most are small, dark and thin. Some have large teeth and jaws. The animals here live on plants, algae, animals that come from other zones, and each other.
